To the Church

Rising petrol prices – again, the collapse of the banks, the evaporation of the equity on our homes, industrial closures, increasing job losses, redundancies and unemployment, unscrupulous government officials, involvement and loss of life in a seemingly endless war in Afghanistan etc.

It seems that our security blanket has been stripped away and our security zone shaken to its core.

But there’s a groundswell. If you listen you’ll hear it. ‘It is time to seek God, to repent, to change the way we’re living.’  It is an old message for a new generation.

‘If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.’ – 2 Chronicles 7 v14

We don’t need a majority to turn things around.  Even in a pampered church there is a remnant who knows ‘what revival means and how to seek God until it comes.’  The question is, will you be one of them?
